How Glow Sanctum was born..

Hello, lovely readers!

Today, I want to share with you a story that's deeply personal to me – my journey into the world of Permanent Makeup, a path that intertwines my lifelong love for art with the joy of empowering others.

As a child, art was my world. It was a passion that everyone around me believed would define my future. However, life's twists and turns led me down a different path initially. After graduating with a BA Hons in Art & Design, I found myself in the corporate world of London, a necessary step to clear my student debts but one that took me away from my creative roots.

Motherhood brought new joys and challenges, temporarily steering me away from a career as a media makeup artist. But the creative within me never settled. Post-divorce, while working at a bank and later managing a private medical practice, I reconnected with my artistic side through local art groups and exhibitions and was nominated to become a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (RSA). A period of reawakening during the pandemic prompted me to reflect on what I truly wanted – a career that married my artistic skills with a desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Enter Permanent Makeup. It seemed the perfect blend of my love for detail, colour, and personal transformation. I dove into this new world, retraining in my late 40s – a daunting yet exhilarating experience. The transition was challenging but deeply rewarding. It's more than just enhancing beauty; it's about restoring confidence and bringing joy.

Now, I'm living my dream, using my artistic talent to help others feel their best. Each client’s smile is a reminder of why I embarked on this journey. Permanent Makeup isn't just my profession; it's a passion, a way of connecting, and a path that has brought me full circle back to art.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Here’s to embracing art in all its forms and finding beauty in every stage of life!
